GMT Composites is hiring shop technicians to join our team.
This is a hands-on shop position for a person who is self-motivated, and has good general mechanical skills. As part of a small team, or sometimes on your own, you will be building custom composite parts ranging in size from 120 foot masts for sailboats to small paddles for testing semi-conductors. Most of these parts are made from carbon fiber which has been pre-impregnated with epoxy. After the parts are laminated, there is a significant amount of mechanical assembly that must be done. Through the neatness and accuracy of your work, you will be responsible for maintaining the high level of quality GMT is known for. Experience in composite construction techniques is a plus, however, we will train people with the right attitude.
